We live in a world that glorifies doing more — more reps, longer hours, back-to-back tasks, and never enough time to just be.
We’re praised for pushing through. For grinding. For being “resilient.”
But what if real resilience isn’t about pushing through?
What if it’s about knowing when to pause? To soften.
To say, “That’s enough for today.”
Recovery isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.
Let’s be honest — life asks a lot of us.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re parenting, working, caregiving, running a business, or showing up in ten different ways every day — you’re constantly using your body and brain. Of course, you’re tired. Of course, you’re tight. Of course, you feel stretched thin sometimes.
That’s not failure. That’s being human.
Recovery isn’t just for elite athletes. It’s for you.
It’s for all of us who spend our days giving, thinking, lifting, carrying, planning, worrying, managing… living.
It’s not about stopping everything or booking a week-long retreat. It’s about finding tiny pockets of peace in your day
Small rituals that say to your body:
“I see you. I’ve got you. Let’s reset.”
So, why Magnesium? And why Magnesium Chloride?
When I created Salt Lab, I was burnt out. Mentally, emotionally, physically. I didn’t need another complicated health hack. I needed something gentle, natural, and effective. Something I could actually stick to.
What makes our Magnesium different is the form we use: Magnesium Chloride.
It’s one of the most bioavailable forms of magnesium — which means your body recognises it and knows how to absorb it without any extra work.
Most magnesium supplements (like glycinate or citrate) are synthetic and taken orally, which can put pressure on your gut or digestive system. Magnesium Chloride is topical — it absorbs through your skin and goes straight where it’s needed. No tablets, no fillers, no confusion.
It supports:
- Muscle recovery
-
Nervous system regulation
-
Restful sleep
-
Energy restoration
-
And most importantly — it gives your body permission to slow down
For me, it’s become one of those sacred, small-but-mighty rituals I come back to over and over again.
Simple Recovery Rituals to Try (No Fancy Gear Required)
You don’t need a yoga mat, incense, or a full hour of silence.
(Although if that’s your thing — go for it!)
These rituals are designed for real life.
💪 After movement (or a physically demanding day):
Spray Magnesium Oil onto sore or tight spots — shoulders, calves, lower back — and gently massage it in. It helps relieve muscle tension, increase circulation, and speed up recovery.
🛁 After a mentally draining day:
Add Magnesium Oil to a warm bath or foot soak. Let your body melt into the water. Even 10–15 minutes can make you feel like a new person.
🧠 After burnout or overwhelm:
Lie down with your legs up the wall, spray Magnesium onto your tummy or feet, and close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Just five minutes. This helps signal to your nervous system: You’re safe. You can let go now.
😩 After “one of those days”:
When you’re running on fumes and just need a minute — kids are finally in bed, emails are closed, and your brain is fried — spray Magnesium on your shoulders or neck. Breathe in. Exhale slowly. Let it go.
💤 Before sleep:
Use Magnesium on your feet, lower back, or neck before bed. It helps your body shift into rest mode. For me, this has become a pre-sleep cue — one that tells my whole system, “we’re done for the day.”
Remember: One Small Act Is Enough
We often think recovery has to be big to matter.
But one small ritual, repeated consistently, is powerful.
Even just 30 seconds of Magnesium and breath can shift how your body feels.
And when your body feels better — everything else feels more manageable.
You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t need to justify it.
You are allowed to slow down.
This Week, Let Recovery Be Non-Negotiable
Recovery isn’t indulgent.
It’s intelligent.
It’s what helps you stay grounded, connected, and present — for yourself and for the people who rely on you.
So take the pause. Spray the Magnesium. Soak, stretch, lie down for five.
You don’t need to fix everything — you just need to create space.
Your body will thank you. Maybe not instantly, but definitely tomorrow.
With love,
