Beat Holiday Stress With Magnesium

Beat Holiday Stress With Magnesium

Holidays! Fabulous on the one hand, stressful on the other. On top of the daily things that can make you feel overloaded (work, kids, grocery shopping, family get-togethers), you’re now also fretting about how to entertain the kids over the school holidays while you carry on with - work, school lunches, grocery shopping etc! Or your social calendar is full of non-stop activity, gym sessions and everything that you love doing - crammed into a four day Easter break. And your body is going to feel it.

What's one of the most handy tools for your self-care routine over these holidays? Magnesium!

If you have been on the hunt for a natural way to relieve stress, replenish energy and sleep better, then look no further. Our most iconic product – Magnesium Oil Spray – was specifically designed to safely restore magnesium levels in your body, lower stress and inflammation, relieve sore muscles and joints and – last but not least – facilitate restful sleep.

Magnesium is the 4th most abundant mineral in the human body, regulating our energy levels while keeping us healthy. It plays a pivotal role in cellular energy production, generating one of the body’s major forms of energy – ATP (adenosine triphosphate). That’s why magnesium deficiency may make you feel tired and groggy. Magnesium is also vital for the function of GABA receptors, which exist across all areas of the brain and nervous system. GABA is a calming neurotransmitter that the brain requires to switch off.

Here's how to keep yourself calm and relaxed over  Easter, no matter what's planned in the calendar.

1. Magnesium Reset Bath Salts

Ending a hectic day with a de-stressing soak? That's a no-brainer - but adding Salt Lab's Magnesium Reset Bath Salts could take that vibe to a whole new level.

Made from a soothing blend of premium, 100% natural, muscle-relaxing magnesium chloride flakes, Dead Sea salts, and bentonite clay, this mix will dive directly into your tired spots to leave you relaxed, recovered, and ready for a good night’s sleep.

Reward yourself at the end of a long day with a moment of indulgence, calming your nervous system and quietening your mind and body in preparation for sleep.

Draw a warm bath and sprinkle in the whole contents of our Magnesium Reset Bath Salts pack, including the little sachet of bentonite clay. Then simply soak for a minimum of 20 minutes and enjoy the benefits. Restful sleep is the best form of self-care.

Housed in our 100% home compostable pouches you can fill your bathtub, pour your bath salts in, including the bentonite clay (this is in a separate pouch within the packet), and put the packaging into your compost bin.

2. Magnesium Oil

Want to break out the big guns? Salt Lab Magnesium Oil has rave reviews and an excellent customer experience.

"My first purchase and it all went swimmingly well. The magnesium is fab for calming down and just feeling relaxed after big days on my feet. Loved it so much I shared it with my fam too." Kim C. Verified Buyer

Spray 6-8 Sprays onto your stomach, legs, feet or back, 10-30 mins before bed. Massage in gently, allowing it to dry before covering up. We recommend using it daily as our coffee culture and mineral-poor soils severely deplete your body’s magnesium levels.

If you have never used magnesium oil before, start by using it on your feet only for 2-3 weeks to allow your body to adjust. If using on children, apply to their feet only for 4 weeks before spraying onto their stomachs as well.

From helping your muscles to function properly to ensuring your brain operates smoothly, magnesium is indispensable. One of its primary functions is to help convert the food you eat into energy.
