Magnesium For Kids

Magnesium For Kids

How Magnesium Works

Magnesium is needed for over 300 chemical reactions in the body. This affects countless functions and systems, including:

  • Muscle function
  • Nerve function
  • Blood sugar regulation
  • The production of energy in the cells
  • Protein synthesis
  • DNA & RNA synthesis
  • Bone growth and development

Benefits For Kids

Kids need magnesium for a balanced mood, deep sleep and ongoing growth and development.

You’ll often hear magnesium being referred to as the calming or relaxing mineral. This is because it has an overall calming effect on the nervous system. So when the kids get wound up, hyperactive or irritable, a few quick sprays of Magnesium Oil can help relieve the symptoms.

Restless sleep, restless leg syndrome, frequent waking and difficulty getting to sleep can all be caused by low magnesium. Research has found that magnesium supplements can improve sleep quality and duration.

Magnesium can also help teenagers' balance hormone irregularity. This is one area where magnesium is just as essential for mums too. It’s particularly useful for women over 40, as it promotes progesterone, supports oestrogen detoxification, and calms the nervous system and muscles.

Another function of magnesium is supporting the stress response. We need more magnesium when we are under stress. But when our stress levels are high, we excrete more. This leaves us with a gap that is often hard to fill with food alone. If you experience a prolonged period of stress, Magnesium Oil spray can help.

Signs of Low Magnesium in Your Little Ones

The average child’s diet is low in magnesium (hello fussy eaters!), and their bodies use more during growth and development. Common symptoms include:

    • Constipation
    • Twitching muscles or eyes
    • Growing pains
    • Restlessness
    • Poor sleep
    • Grinding teeth
    • Sensitivity to noise

    Directions For Use

All our products are safe to use on your kids. They will help them relax during the evening after a busy day and reduce growing pains by offering a good magnesium boost.

To start, we recommend applying two sprays of our Magnesium Oil to their feet for the first two weeks, and dilute with water (50:50) until they have adjusted to the oil. Once they are comfortable with the magnesium on their feet without dilution, apply two sprays to their stomach as well.

If you have any concerns, consult your GP before use, or patch test your kids before you start.
