realtalk for anyone who struggles with sleepFor my entire adult (and even much of my teenage) life I've struggled getting to and staying asleep. Like, seriously struggled! I've been on various medications intended to manage bipolar and anxiety, which supposedly also helped sleep, but found the side effects too harsh to function properly during the days.

I was told to try taking magnesium nightly as well, before bed, both for sleep and recovery. I did so (orally) for a while but with no real noticeable results, so when @salt_lab asked if I was interested in trying their oil I was hesitant.

They assured me it was different to oral magnesium powders etc as it was able to be absorbed directly through the skin, bypassing the stomach and asked if I would try it, obligation free.

magnesium oilI agreed, but told them I'm a huge skeptic and would be brutally honest about the product, particularly as it boasted such dramatic results with other users. (I'm stubborn like that haha) Night 1 I didn't really notice much, it took me a while to fall asleep and I woke up several times (as is usual for me) and then struggled to get up when my alarm went off in the morning. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I figured I would stick at it for a week.

Night 2 onwards and I can't believe the difference this stuff has made. I'm not saying I don't have the odd rough night but for the most part, I've been waking once, maybe twice a night and getting good quality sleep in between. I'm awake before my alarm and actually feel like I've slept, not rolled around in bed half sleeping. I'm genuinely chuffed to be working with these guys as I truly believe that this stuff is a game changer for fellow restless sleepers!

AND it's made in Melbourne Aus. #sleep#recovery #magnesium #mentalhealth
